Maria Koterbska looks from the wall of the building in Wrocław Throughout her life, Maria Koterbska was associated especially with Bielsko-Biała, but it was Wrocław that owed her the song “Blue trams running along the rails”, which was written in 1951 or 1952. The song, originally recorded by Wiktoria Zającówna, was popularized by the Bielsko-Biała. The music was composed by Jerzy Harald and the words were written by his wife, Krystyna Wnukowska. Soon after, the piece became the informal anthem of Wrocław tram drivers. It can even be said that he entered the identity of the inhabitants of Wrocław, becoming their "Wrocław song". It is also worth mentioning that trams in Wrocław are more than just a means of communication, they are also a certain element of tradition, and the blue color is their hallmark. No wonder that in 2005 Maria Koterbska received the award from the Wrocław Municipal Transport Company. She was honored for this song. This year, however, the singer from Bielsko became the patron of the first Wrocław tram Moderus Gamma 2.
