Władysław Bartoszewski - Polish politician, journalist, writer, social activist and historian. Former prisoner of the Nazi extermination camp KL Auschwitz. Participant of the Warsaw Uprising, soldier of the Home Army and activist of the Polish Underground State. Author of nearly 40 books and almost 1,500 articles, mainly on the German occupation. Diplomat, decorated with the Order of the White Eagle and honorary citizen of the State of Israel.
