The Willans Hill Water Tank in Wagga Wagga NSW was completed in June 2016. It was painted by Trina Collins who works under the pseudonym of Poncho Amy.
The mural theme is based on water and the actual function and purpose of this very important community water tank. By showing children drinking directly from the tap, it shows how safe the local Riverina water actually is.
According to publicartwagga.com.au, Poncho Army felt the best way to represent this mission was by painting local children drinking right from the water tap, using their hands as water cups.
The mural took two and half weeks to complete and was a partnership between Riverina Water County Council and Wagga Wagga City Council.
