A Gift to the Hometown

One of the reasons I want to visit Visaginas is the art of Marija Tiurina. The talented illustrator and mural artist was born here, and although she no longer lives in Visaginas, she continues to create murals for her hometown.

This new mural series in Visaginas is called “A Gift to the Hometown.” It was created for the city’s 50th birthday. Each mural represents a colour of the Lithuanian flag, but if you look closer, you’ll notice fascinating characters living within them.

You can find these murals in Visaginas city center: on the walls of buildings at 3 and 6 Tarybų Street and 23 Sedulinos Avenue.
