BISSER is een kunstenaar uit Leuven. Hij studeerde animatie in Gent en moest zijn eerste jaar aan de Hogeschool overdoen, vandaar zijn artiestennaam.

Zijn inspiratiebronnen zijn: zijn oudere broer, The Simpsons, de boeken van Kid Paddle en het Franse tijdschrift Graffbombz. Als scoutsleider leidde hij de AKABE. Dit zijn jonge mensen met een verstandelijke beperking. De manier waarop ze tekenden inspireerde hem ook.

De figuur op deze muurschildering is gebaseerd op een foto die BISSER in de krant vond. Het is eigenlijk de eerste muur die hij zo maakte. Voor BISSER was het eigenlijk een uitprobeersel. Er zit dus niet zo veel betekenis achter.

BISSER is an artist from Leuven. He studied animation in Ghent and had to redo his first year at the Hogeschool, hence his artist name.

His sources of inspiration are: his older brother, The Simpsons, the books of Kid Paddle and the French magazine Graffbombz. As a scouts leader he led the AKABE. These are young people with a mental disability. The way they drew also inspired him.

The figure on the mural is based on a picture BISSER found in a newspaper. It's actually the first wall he made like this. For BISSER it was actually a tryout. So there's not so much meaning behind it.
