Vilnius Fabijoniškės neighbourhood has recently gained a striking artistic accent that is worth visiting. It is a huge mural covering the entire wall of a nine-story apartment building, located in Simono Stanevičiaus street 55, inspired by the animals and plants of the nearby Cedronas Upper Reserve and the landscape of the nearby skate park.
For this mural artist combined the shapes of the nearby skatepark with the plants and animals of Cedrono Aukštupio reserve, just around the corner. Stylised but recognisable are the inhabitants of the reserve: white hare, large copper butterfly, woodpecker, oaks, broad-leaved sermountain, sweet-grass & heath spotted-orchid.
The work was created for the project "Kuriu Vilnių" (I Create Vilnius) in collaboration with the Pavilniai and Verkių Regional Parks Directorate.
