Cat and a bookshelf

Description

Tautvydas Parapinavičius has painted a cat and a colourful bookshelf on the wall in the Naujininkai neighbourhood, near the public transport stop. Take a look at the spines of the books depicted in the drawing: they symbolise writers of various nationalities living in Vilnius. This mural appeared on the wall thanks to an initiative by the Naujininkai community, organised by its active member Artūras Melianas. The original idea for the artwork, which was ultimately realised, was to depict a cat next to a bookshelf. The painting process in this bustling urban location - a stop where trolleybuses and buses constantly arrive and depart - took about two weeks.
