Caxinas mural

Mural for the fishermen of Caxinas.
The sea: it is the outstanding element of Caxinas' landscape.
The hands: symbol of strength, determination and tenacity of its people.
Paper boats: symbolizing the main economic activity of the locals.
Simultaneously, they are represented as paper boats trying to invoke the fishermen's fragility when seen in the immensity of the sea.

The mural can be found next to the Igreja Paroquial de Nosso Senhor dos Navegantes (Igreja das Caxinas).
