'EOS'

'EOS'

Mural created at the Vicar Hip Hop Street Festival 2025.

Eos is the personification of dawn, the youngest daughter of the Titan Hyperion and the Titaness Tia or Thea; she is also the younger sister of Helios (the Sun) and Selene (the Moon). Eos rose to the sky from the river that surrounded the world of Ocean at the beginning of each day, and with her rays of light, she dispersed the mists of the night. Sometimes she rode in a golden chariot drawn by winged horses, other times she was shown flying independently on her own pair of wings. Eos had an insatiable desire for handsome young men, the result of a curse placed upon her by the goddess Aphrodite.
