Danse macabre

The work refers to the motif of the medieval dance of death - the dance macabre. The mural depicts a procession, headed by a raftsman symbolizing death. Right behind him follow a fisherman, a whisperer, a monk with a pig's snout, a jester, a townswoman and Nicolaus Copernicus.
