Scratching the surface

This face represents an ordinary man the artist met in his trip to Mexico, but the technique makes it extraordinary. The pieces of Vhils have a unique style: the artist puts a layer of white paint and then he scratches it to delineate the facial outlines. A very complex work, of an inestimable value.
