Tag the Jewels

Description

Coordinated by FatCap Agency ‘Tag the Jewels’ was a worldwide street art initiative for which over 40 artists across 6 continents were invited to remix the iconic album cover for rap duo ‘Run the Jewels’.

The artists were given a very simple brief and the freedom to express their own unique interpretations of Nicholas Gazin’s original artwork.

These signature pieces designed by respected local artists have gone up on walls from Los Angeles to Lagos.  It is the first global installation of its kind.

Run the Jewels is a collaboration between two veteran rhyme-slayers — Brooklyn's El-P and Atlanta's Killer Mike — They have gone from a whim-driven underground rap project to a worldwide sensation.

International follower of street art. I've been hunting down graffiti for about 20 years and it has taken me to some amazing off-the-beaten-track places.
