Symbols of My Era

Two presidents – Lennart Meri and Toomas Hendrik Ilves – on bridge pillars by Edgar Tedresaar. The portraits became notorious when one night Ilves's head was replaced with the head of Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia. After much media attention the head was covered with a Guy Fawkes mask and eventually the city decided to intervene, resulting in the grey rectangle opposite the portrait of president Meri. Work done during street art festival Stencibility in 2015.
