L'ora più calda (The hottest hour)

Work created on the occasion of the second edition of Progetto T.R.U.St. in Taranto. The dolphin, the protagonist of the work, is the symbol of the city as it appears in all the legends associated with it. However, this creature has a great symbolic value that goes beyond the iconographic aspect: in fact, the Gulf of Taranto hosts one of the very few and most important striped dolphin nurseries in the world. Being able to admire the puppies darting out of the water, right in front of the Ilva chimneys, gives a strong image of resilience and conveys hope for a different future. The criticality of the environmental and climate issue is recalled by the shadow of the dolphin which becomes a large sundial, perpendicular to midday: the hottest hour, in which we are called to reflect on our responsibilities and act.
