Dhinawan in the Sky

This artwork features the mythical Emu in the Sky which comes up prominently in Aboriginal storytelling. The response by different language groups each interpret this story in their own unique ways, celebrating the rich and diverse range of perspectives that bring about Aboriginal astronomy. The word 'dhuraayma-li' is written in the Kamilaroi language, meaning "to light the light".
