Block Party

Drawn from a 1935 photograph by photojournalist Sam Hood, these faded figures offer a nostalgic glimpse into the past. They celebrate the resilience of Newtown's working-class children. The artwork was launched by Inner West Council on 24 June 2023, detailing a story of why these young men and women were painted on the wall.
