Maria Kunic was an extraordinary woman who was ahead of her time, spoke as many as seven languages, had extensive knowledge in the field of medicine and pharmacy, but it was mathematics and astronomy that became her greatest passion. Nicolaus Copernicus was her great authority, and the work "Urania Propitia" was created thanks to the observation of stars on the roof of one of the tenement houses in Świdnica and brought her worldwide fame.
