This mural was created within the artist residency programmes for the XI Biennale of Sao Tome and Príncipe during the islands cultural month.
The mural depicts a male and female sunbird which are endemic to the island that is nicknamed the Galápagos of Africa. On the island of Príncipe, just within the Gulf of Guinea, there are more endemic species per km2 than anywhere else on earth.
