A beautiful mural by Simon White for the Stratford RSL.
Artists brief was to create a design showing each of the services and the Light horse brigade.
Using the old buildings character, Simon has complemented it rather than overpowered it, as well as telling a story of our past heroes; eliciting an emotional reaction from the viewer.
Wanting to educate our future generations, the artist also found from talking to local veterans that the painting of the mural made them feel a little more valued.
The artist also included his grandfather in the mural, he represents the Army, as he served in Bougainville, New Guinea.
