Valoir son pesant d'or

This collage is part of the “Au pied de la Lettre” (To the letter) series begun by Les Murs ont des Oreilles in the fall of 2020.
The expression “Valoir son pesant d’or” (to be worth one’s weight in gold) is illustrated by the painting “The Black Feather Boa,” created in 1935 by the French painter André Derain.
The artwork’s colors have faded significantly over time, but it is still visible today.
