Those who follow his work will have understand that 'Delft blue' is omnipresent in his creations. We can see this blue on traditional porcelains from the Netherlands. It is a kind of «copy» of Chinese porcelain from the Ming era. There were also variations in Japan.

"I hesitated for a long time to work on this theme, but ultimately it joins the Japanese art of Kintsugi that I also integrate into my work (the art of repairing broken objects with gold). We can see on that mural a tribute to the old stamps from the Land of the Rising Sun."

Ceux qui suivent son travail auront compris que le bleu de Delft est omniprésent dans ses créations. Ce bleu se trouve sur les porcelaines traditionnelles des Pays-Bas, qui sont en quelque sorte des «copies» des porcelaines chinoises de l’ère Ming. Il y a eu également des variantes au Japon.

"J’ai longtemps hésité à m’aventurer dans ce thème, mais finalement cela rejoint l’art japonais du Kintsugi que j’intègre également dans mon travail (l’art de réparer les objets cassés avec de l’or afin de sublimer les cicatrices). On peut voir dans cette fresque un clin d’oeil aux anciennes étampes du pays du Soleil Levant."
