Jeanne d’Arc

The Maid of Orleans had a short stay in Soissons in 1429, after the coronation of King Charles VII in Reims. The following year, abandoned by her troops, she was denied access to the city. Captured in Compiegne, she was sold to the English in 1430 by the Count de Ligny.
