Gérard Philipe

Actor of theater and cinema, he is one of the principal stars of the 1950s. His youth, his beauty and his charisma earned him an international reputation. In the theater, with Jean Vilar, he assured a huge popular success in the classical repertoire. He died prematurely of a devastating cancer.
