"Chkalov's flight across the North Pole" and "Space exploration"

The square bears the name of Valery Chkalov, a Soviet pilot who made the first non-stop flight across the North Pole from Moscow to Vancouver in 1937. The Mozhaisky Military Space Academy is located nearby. The theme of the picture is connected with the heroes of space and aviation, but on the left side you can find the image of tsar Peter the Great.
