In this context, the municipality's request is to artistically illustrate the emancipatory role, even "liberator" of Culture in its global sense (literature, cinema, visual arts, live performance, etc.). But also its ability to bring people together, its unifying aspect, because it allows everyone to understand "the other" ...

Values that make even more sense after the period we have just lived, where compartmentalization was the rule by force of circumstances, and to remind everyone of the richness of contact, exchange and confrontation, in the noble sense of the term.
