Ricardo van Zwol
This piece is the first part of a project totaling two murals in this street. Ricardo took the initiative to paint these murals himself, but he needed the support of the local government and the housing corporation that owns the buildings. Once they were on board, they found sponsors and got the project done.

Inspiration for the two pieces comes from the idea the architect Lotte Stam-Beese had about this post-war neighborhood. The young boy and the hummingbird symbolize the vision of a green family environment she had.

At a later stage Ricardo added two more murals in this street, with a different theme.
