De Kroonredes

This work is a part of the project "de kroonredes", which exists of three artworks around the building de Kroon.

This art piece is a poem written by Daphne Huis den. The poem is in memory of the historie of the ferry house (veerhuis) building that is next to the wall on the waterside.

The Mural was done by Tim Sake, in the style of the architect duo Kraayvanger. They were very important architects in the period of rebuilding Rotterdam after World War 2. The building that de Kroon is in, was also designed by these architects.
