Zicht op Kaap Hoorn

This work is part of a greater art project called Motorvessel Noordereiland. In this project the island in the river, that is shped roughly like a ship, is seen as a big motorvessel.

This mural shows the view of Cape Horn, the southern most tip of South America. Because of traitorous currents and harsh weather conditions, this place is notorious with sailors for centuries back.

Dit werk maakt deel uit van een groter kunstproject genaamd Motorschip Noordereiland. In dit project wordt het eiland in de rivier, dat ruwweg de vorm van een schip heeft, gezien als een groot motorschip.

Deze muurschildering toont het uitzicht op Kaap Hoorn, het meest zuidelijke puntje van Zuid-Amerika. Vanwege verraderlijke stromingen en barre weersomstandigheden is deze plek al eeuwenlang berucht bij zeelieden.
