New Life

Local artist MataOne created a street art project where he colleagues from the world to color a couple of walls every year. The Italian Lorenzo Skugio Nicoletti made himself a name with international fame: “Skugio is a master of realistic portraits and landscapes. He has more than 25 years of experience and is inspired by his environment and the context in which he creates a work. He was working in Spain, Italy, Greece, Ireland and Hawaii.”: says MataOne
The wall is located right next to the "Herinneringsbos" (translated as Forrest of Memory), givng the artist instant inspiration:
“Skugio made a very beautiful work that refers to the old and dead trees, but also to new life in the form of a sage plant that is applied by a child. A wonderful closing after the works that were made earlier this year. We are already looking forward to next year for new projects. Now everyone is welcome to come and admire the work and also (re)discover the environment.”

Lokale kunstenaar MataOne creëerde een street art project waarbij hij collega's van over de hele wereld uitnodigt. De Italiaan Lorenzo Skugio Nicoletti maakte naam internationaal: “Skugio is een meester in realistische portretten en landschappen. Hij heeft meer dan 25 jaar ervaring en laat zich inspireren door zijn omgeving en de context waarin hij een werk maakt. Hij werkte in Spanje, Italië, Griekenland, Ierland en Hawaï.”: zegt MataOne
De muur bevindt zich direct naast het "Herinneringsbos", waardoor de kunstenaar direct inspiratie opdeed:
“Skugio heeft een heel mooi werk gemaakt dat verwijst naar de oude en dode bomen, maar ook naar nieuw leven in de vorm van een salieplant die door een kind wordt aangebracht. Een prachtige afsluiter na de werken die eerder dit jaar zijn gemaakt. We kijken nu al uit naar volgend jaar voor nieuwe projecten. Nu is iedereen welkom om het werk te komen bewonderen en ook de omgeving te (her)ontdekken.”
