Water and Warmth

Painted in June 2024, this mural is on the west side of the building at Lake Anne Elementary School. Inspired by the mandala paintings in a nearby pedestrian underpass, the students worked with Shawn James to come up with a design and color choices that pleased everyone involved. Students even helped prep the surface. The left part of the mural is oceanic, reflecting the school's mascot, the dolphin, as well as many other whimsical sea creatures. The right part shows children enjoying nature, fitting as it is right next to the pollinator garden. If you go to see this, please wait for a weekend or school holiday.
