Untold Stories

This life-sized sculpture of Robert Simon, founder of Reston, is made of bronze and was installed in 2004. Sculpted by Zachary Oxman, who grew up in Reston, it depicts Bob as most found him - hanging out at Lake Anne, telling stories, and smiling at everyone. You can have a seat on the bench next to him for a selfie and if you line it up just right you can capture the fountain in the background. (Zachary Oxman also created the sculpture "Convergence" at the Aperture Apartments)
