Passados vários anos a pintar esta casa de branco, o resultado acabava sempre no mesmo: riscões e degradação, como se vê na foto.

Desta vez, em vez de voltar ao branco só para alguém o estragar depois, decidi criar algo mais criativo, apelativo e crítico. Uma obra que nos faça refletir sobre o património público e privado – o destruído, o abandonado – e sobre quem tem a responsabilidade de cuidar, preservar ou simplesmente dar novas caras a estas casas.

After several years of painting this house white, the result always ended up the same: scratches and degradation, as seen in the photo.

This time, instead of returning to white only for someone to ruin it later, I decided to create something more creative, attractive, and critical. A work that makes us reflect on public and private heritage – the destroyed, the abandoned – and on who has the responsibility to care for, preserve, or simply give new faces to these houses.
