A Boy with a Kite

The mural "A Boy with a Kite" was designed by Maria Szulc. The painting is over 230 square meters and filled the wall of the building at the Poznań International Fair.

The designer wanted a friendly theme that would tell a story. A nice boy shown in a dynamic pose is a move that the Fair makes by opening up to the inhabitants. This is related to the construction of PeWuKi Square, which will be available to everyone. On the other hand, the boy faces the wind - flying a kite in a strong gust is a challenge.

In order for the kite to take off, you need to feel the right moment, catch the moment. It is similar in business, whose symbol for me is the Poznań Fair - explains Maria Szulc.

The designer wanted to integrate the mural with its surroundings. The boy is in a meadow - in the spring, new green plantings will grow in front of him, which are continued in the mural as further plans next to the buildings characteristic of Poznań.

The colors of the mural refer to the visual identification of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, which is why orange and blue colors dominate here. On the other hand, the slogan "Nice Poznań" is to encourage people to visit the fair, be an announcement and an invitation to discover a new place in Poznań - PeWuKi Square.
