Something Real

This piece looks beyond the surface of our lives and reflects on the universal connection we all share with the idea of what home is.

Between what is tangible and elusive we always feel the pull of home. That sense of belonging that transcends geography and culture, reminding us that home is not a fixed location but a constant in our minds. Home is an unshakable anchor that grounds us, and gives something authentic as we roam the chaos of the world and it guides us back to who we are as individuals and our purpose.

As an artist, work takes me away from my little ones often and I tell them I will always come home to them. It is a message for them that they are my constant and drive in this life. The repetition symbolises the movement as humans wander through the world, with the figure looking at the precious bracelet as a tangible reminder of home.
