Cátia Vide is a Portuguese illustrator born in 1990 in Oporto. She holds a degree in Graphic Design from the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave and a postgraduate degree in Illustration from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto, where she is currently pursuing a master's in Illustration, Edition, and Print.
Cátia has been dedicated to illustration, graphic design, illustration training, collective exhibitions, among other pursuits, and has collaborated with magazines, publishers, companies, among others. She has published eight picture books with texts by writers such as Ana Paula Oliveira and Rosa Montez, some of which have been released in Spain, Poland, USA and Italy.
Her work has been recognized in national and international awards, including the 3x3 Contemporary Illustration Mag and Communication Arts Illustration.
The artist won the street art prize Porto EDP 2023 and was allowed to paint "Pombos da Cidade" (Portuguese word for city pigeons). It is a set of four murals in this street.
