Season's Greetings

On December 18th, 2018 steelworker Ian Lewis awoke to find a jaw-dropping piece of graffiti on the side of his garage. Press play on the audio file above to listen to Ian describing his first encounter with the Banksy.

After thousands of people flocked to see the latest Banksy on his garage, it was felt in the best interests of the artwork to sell it to art dealer John Brandler for a "six figure sum" who agreed to set up a gallery featuring this and other Banksy's from his collection in the town.

As you can see from the scars that still remain on the garage, the entire corner was cut out, lifted by a crane onto a lorry, and carried (with a police escort) into the town centre at 5mph.
