The mural commemorates Port Augusta as a resting place, featuring symbolic elements that embody the community's spirit, heritage, and connection to the surrounding landscape.

According to the artists:

The two boomerangs represent people returning, the flower symbolises hope and a thriving community, and the blue hue translates into the waters of the Spencer Gulf. The orange and purple circles respectively commemorate outside places and travellers, and sitting with elders to learning from their wisdom.
