"Tempus"

This black and white artwork depicts a frozen moment in time, drawing a connection between Pompeii's history and the present day.  We can observe that the flora continues to grow and that animals remain around, demonstrating that nature never stops and that time continues to run while the girl remains motionless. 
 

Alex Senna, born in Orlândia, Brazil, and currently residing in São Paulo, began painting in the streets in 2004 after being influenced by comics and graffiti. His black-and-white figures in his murals and paintings tell stories about life, solitude, and romance. The message is strengthened by the use of black and white and very elegant simplicity. Senna has exhibited and painted murals in over 25 countries, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Peru, South Korea, Hong Kong, England, Denmark, Holland, France, Italy, Germany, Israel, and Russia.
