“Ogni cosa a suo tempo”

"This artwork commemorates one of the most recent findings at Pompeii's archaeological site, a turtle with its egg. A gradual moment of existence inscribed in history that, after many years, came to us full of significance. The discovered remains were of a land turtle, while mine is a sea turtle because of my connection with it. In a year when I, too, am expecting a child, I wanted to mark the passage of time this way. I utilised fluorescent paint, which lights some of the design features at night. I wanted to do something that appeared gradually." - Marco De Rosa
