"Dancing Faun"

This artwork is an illustration of the bronze sculpture "Dancing Faun" discovered in the 19th century Pompeii excavations, with the difference that it is presented in a new type of material similar to a crystal prism, which refracts light and creates colour, symbolising the rebirth of archaeological sites after they have been unearthed.

Pandele Radu was born in 1993 in Bucharest, Romania. He is a member of the Romanian artist group Sweet Damage. His formal training in the arts began at a high school in Arad and proceeded to universities in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, and Grenoble, France. His career as a graffiti writer started in 2007 and has been working as a muralist since 2015. Pandele is equally passionate and involved in gallery art, with several solo and group shows. He is not explicitly concerned with sociopolitical statements. His imagination is motivated by poetry to depict an ideal parallel universe. His murals may be seen in many Romanian and European cities, including Berlin, Germany; Monte Gordo, Portugal; Bialystok, Poland; Grenoble and Briancon, France.
