Dog Patron

Description

All-Ukrainian favorite dog Patron is depicted on a booth near a flower shop on Chestnut Alley.

Patron ("cartridge") is a detection dog and mascot for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. He is a Jack Russell Terrier. Patron first came to prominence during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Ukrainian president awarded him the Order for Courage for his work in locating and defusing unexploded ordnance left behind in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions by Russian troops.
