The Rolling People

Resurgam

A large mural on the Salvation Army Congress Hall, showing the destruction of Plymouth in World War Two - 'resurgam' means I shall rise again and was written on a sign in the rubble after a of heavy bombing in March 1941. The design includes the Abercrombie Plan which was used to rebuild the city in the 1950s and 60s, and one of its flagship buildings, the Civic Centre. It's by The Rolling People graffiti crew, who are from London, Plymouth, Madrid amd Paris.
