The streets of Torrent add a new piece to the city’s artistic landscape with the mural De Paseo, created by the photographer, illustrator, and muralist from Navarre, Eneko Azpiroz Turnes, who signs his works as NKO AT. This mural, now displayed on the facade of the old Bony hall, located on Zaragoza Street, is the first of the three winning projects of the tenth edition of the 'La Paret Pintada' contest, organized by the Torrent Youth Information Center (CIJ).
The Councillor for Youth, María Fernández, visited the completed work and praised both the artist's creation and the cultural impact of this contest, which has become a key platform for young creators in the field of urban art. "The Youth Department of the Torrent City Council organizes this contest to encourage and recognize the trajectory, effort, and commitment of young people who want to make a meaningful contribution to various cultural and social fields. And, among others, the mural painting contest, which reaches its tenth edition in 2024," Fernández highlighted.
Eneko Azpiroz Turnes, originally from Pamplona, is known for his creative proposals that blend illustration, photography, and murals, with works already displayed in various Spanish cities. In this case, his piece De Paseo depicts an everyday scene in a modern and dynamic style that invites contemplation and enjoyment from those passing through Zaragoza Street.
