Description from the artist: "Opening for ridership in Spring 2021, Tempe Streetcar was a highly-anticipated light rail expansion project in Tempe, Arizona. Zokaites Sculpture was selected to design, fabricate, and install sculptures at three stops along a one-mile stretch. Apache Boulevard, with its rich history of iconic signage, has remained a bellwether landscape for the continuous flux between university and city architecture, campus and urban life. In honor of this tradition, we designed "Sign Remix", blending historical signage with contemporary materials."
