How We Fish

Completed: 2012

This mural was a collaboration with Social Impact Studios. It's based of the popular saying Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime." it depicts the value of hard work within a community. Each economy group throughout Philly's history is shown - agricultural, industrial, machine, and knowledge based - along with a strain glass piece and quotes within each. The fabric below is how these groups are connected, the "fabric of society" and how much we rely on all to survive. Looking closely you can also see that the fabric shows a story of its own.
