C'est un véritable chantier artistique et participatif qui s'est concrétisé à Romainville: après celle consacrée à l'activiste pakistanaise Malala, la nouvelle fresque du programme « La place de la femme dans l'espace public»
L'auteure de la fresque, l'artiste toulousaine Vinie, a pioché dans les idées des enfants du centre social Marcel Cachin : « Il y avait quelques idées qui ressortaient : la nature, la femme forte et celles qui ont marqué l'Histoire. J'ai essayé de m'inspirer de ces idées lorsque j'ai élaboré ma fresque. »
L'auteure de la fresque, l'artiste toulousaine Vinie, a pioché dans les idées des enfants du centre social Marcel Cachin : « Il y avait quelques idées qui ressortaient : la nature, la femme forte et celles qui ont marqué l'Histoire. J'ai essayé de m'inspirer de ces idées lorsque j'ai élaboré ma fresque. »
Une participation sur plusieurs niveaux, puisque Sonia a soumis deux projets aux locataires de la résidence, qui ont pu exprimer leur choix au travers d'un vote.
« Les gens sont très contents de leur quartier, commente Vinie. Cela donne un peu de couleur, de vie et surtout de rêve sur le bâtiment. »
Un résultat qui perpétue l'ambition du programme, qui cherche à réinvestir les femmes et leur image dans l'espace urbain. Vinie témoigne : « Dans le street art, les femmes n'étaient pas nombreuses il y a 20 ans, c'est donc important pour moi d'intégrer la femme dans le street art. Cela permet de mettre les femmes dans la rue, de les montrer autrement. »

Vinie testifies: “In street art, women were not numerous 20 years ago, so it is important for me to integrate women into street art. This makes it possible to put women in the street, to show them differently. »
