Tribute to Tarsila do Amaral (1886 1973) who was one of the main artists of Brazilian modernism.

She participated in the movement to create an art with a Brazilian identity, mixing European influences with elements of national culture, such as landscapes, tropical colors and popular themes.

One of his most famous works is Abaporu (1928), which inspired the movement of cultural anthropophagy, where the idea was to symbolically "devour" the foreign culture (mainly European) and transform it into something properly Brazilian.

In this painting, Plim tried to make a "potpourri" of several of his works, mixed with his own language.

She included the famous self-portrait with the red dress, created by a French stylist and that Tarsila wore on special occasions.

The Eiffel Tower, from the painting "Carnival in Madureira", also appears there, addressing the visual dialogue between popular Brazil and the symbols of European modernity.

Thus, Plim weaves references related to Tarsila and Paris, while bringing with her all her Brazilian cultural background.
