Merlusine - (n.f)- Femme qui crie beaucoup, gueularde

En allusion aux cris du merle, très stridents. Le mot est également une variante du nom de la fée Melusine, fée ayant une queue de serpent quand elle se baigne, et à l'origine de la maison des Lusignan, d'après la tradition. Toutes les fois qu'un membre de cette famille devait mourir, elle revenait sur leur château et annonçait par ses cris le malheur prochain.
