Teiera Big Brother

In an imaginary world – though not too far from our own – a giant teapot observes everything with its vigilant, all-seeing eye. Warm, imposing, seemingly reassuring, yet behind the steam it releases lies a dominant, almost despotic presence. On that wall, a small great revolution comes to life: the revolt of biscuits and teacups, tired of submitting to the silent control of the ever-watchful teapot.

Around them move sugar cubes and a complicit sugar bowl — elements which, in their apparent sweetness, become symbols of participation and resistance. The work plays with irony and the codes of everyday life to convey a clear message: it is possible to rebel against those who appear bigger, stronger, more powerful. Even with simple means, even starting from the smallest of things.

Through a direct and surreal visual language, “Teapot Big Brother” invites us not to be distracted by the “steam” — illusions, false reassurances — but to choose consciously which side to take. It is a gentle protest, yes, but no less resolute for that. Because sometimes, the best way to send a powerful message… is to do it in the sweetest way possible.
