In this site-specific intervention, Orion transforms the existing architecture into a perceptual and symbolic play. The central element is a functional feature – the window – which is enhanced through a geometric frame rendered in three shades of grey, carefully calibrated to harmonise with the building’s original colour: one lighter and two darker, arranged to create depth and visual rhythm.
The chromatic structure converges towards a central vanishing point directed downwards, guiding the viewer’s gaze along a dynamic and orderly trajectory. Red, chosen as the distinctive element, directly recalls the visual identity of the University of Padua, rooting the intervention in its symbolic and institutional context.
The final result evokes the shape of an eight, a universal symbol of infinity, of the continuous bond between knowledge and time, between lived space and imagined space. In a place devoted to learning, Orion thus creates a work that unites form, function, and meaning, making art a natural extension of the academic environment.
